The next meeting of the Richmond Astronomical Society will be on Tuesday, December 9, 7:30 PM at the Science Museum of Virginia in the Forum.  Our December gathering is our “eating meeting,” potluck dinner to celebrate the holidays.  Please bring a dish to share.  At this meeting we transform into the Richmond Gastronomical Society.

A number of Richmond astronomers attended the Staunton River Star Party.  Here is a review with images and video

  1. Hello,
I planned a meetup (about 27 people scheduled to join us) to come out and view tonight’s transit. I know the event is atmospheric condition pending.
Where and by when can I get a notification that the event has been cancelled or will continued as planned?

You are more than welcome to post directly on our meetup wall for the event, or to contact me directly. http://www.meetup.com/New-In-Town-Richmond/events/67128692/

Thanks very much for making astronomy so appealing to the masses ! :)
