The next meeting of the Richmond Astronomical Society will be on Tuesday, September 8, 7:30 PM at the Science Museum of Virginia.  Jim Blowers will present on “Universal Numbers” and we will have an update on the many stargazing and star party events scheduled for September and October.

Please join us for the meeting and for dinner before the meeting at Arby’s across the street from the Museum about 6:00 PM.

Staunton River State Park is now a Dark Sky Park!  Read more here.

  1. Hello,
I planned a meetup (about 27 people scheduled to join us) to come out and view tonight’s transit. I know the event is atmospheric condition pending.
Where and by when can I get a notification that the event has been cancelled or will continued as planned?

You are more than welcome to post directly on our meetup wall for the event, or to contact me directly. http://www.meetup.com/New-In-Town-Richmond/events/67128692/

Thanks very much for making astronomy so appealing to the masses ! :)
