The next meeting of the Richmond Astronomical Society will be on Tuesday, January 13, 7:30 PM at the Science Museum of Virginia.  Please join us for the meeting and, if you can, for dinner at Arby’s, across the street from the Museum about 6:00 PM.

Skywatch at the Science Museum tonight, Friday, December 19 with the Museum’s Science After Dark event.  Please join us if you can!

We had an excellent show of Geminid meteors at Belmead on December 13.  If anyone captured any good meteor images, please pass them along to president@richastro.org.

  1. Hello,
I planned a meetup (about 27 people scheduled to join us) to come out and view tonight’s transit. I know the event is atmospheric condition pending.
Where and by when can I get a notification that the event has been cancelled or will continued as planned?

You are more than welcome to post directly on our meetup wall for the event, or to contact me directly. http://www.meetup.com/New-In-Town-Richmond/events/67128692/

Thanks very much for making astronomy so appealing to the masses ! :)
